An Evening of Innovation and Exploration
The interactive celebration will explore the intersections between artificial intelligence (AI), creativity, and innovation, featuring AI-generated compositions performed live by BSO musicians.
The celebratory event is designed to showcase the Baltimore region’s vibrant community of tech and artistic talent – and the region’s overall potential for continued creativity and innovation.
We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Mindgrub Technologies, GBC, and others to host this pioneering exploration of the fusion between technology and art at the Meyerhoff, featuring BSO musicians, as part of our expansive summer season.

The Evening's Agenda
Doors for the Wednesday August 9th celebration event will open at 5:00 p.m., during which time attendees will have the opportunity to experience AI, ChatGPT, and other virtual reality-based activations that will be placed throughout the BSO lobby space.
Proceedings will then shift to a 7:00 p.m. presentation in the mainstage concert space of repertory and newly composed AI-generative pieces that will be performed by a chamber ensemble of BSO musicians. The artificially-created musical pieces will showcase the power of technology to reimagine popular works created by such iconic artistic figures as Phillip Glass, Nat King Cole, and Taylor Swift – among others.
This performance will be capped by a panel discussion explaining the AI-generated compositional process and delving into the overall implications, possibilities, and transformative potential that artificial intelligence technology brings to the creative, business, and innovation landscapes. The discussion will be moderated by Mindgrub Technologies CEO Todd Marks and will feature respected panelists from the region.
